This latest eggg is inspired by the theme we have in our Creative Crew: a vintage find. I imagined to find in the attic, in an old box , a very old egg with a message. And so, here is where the easter fairytale begins...
I covered the egg with Canvas Corp paper. This one, the black and white diamond pattern seemed the right choice because I wanted to keep it kinda BW. The top and the bottom of the egg is covered with the Black High Impact Paint to get a smokey effect. The egg is even covered with wires, ribbon and rope from Canvas Corp as well. All the other embellishemnts are from 7Gypsies and I have to admit they have a lot of character. I love every single piece: the ring that I used on the top, the lens, the smal frame,.... Also the words are from 7Gypsies.
So, do you see your rabbit and even more important.... will you follow?

Furniture re-do
Here is my furnitur re-do. I was thinking about changing my IKEA Trollsta table for a long time and this was a great occasion to get rid of the purple.... I just wanted something more appropriate for my living and also this time the Tattered Angels enormous palette of colors and paints was the perfect choice. Here is my odl mini table:
...and here is my re-do version....
I used some acrylic pait for the base and before it dried I played with Dragonfly, Candy Corn, Pumpkin Spice and Tokyo Glimmer Mists, someSeven Seas and Teal High Heel Chalkboards and I finished the edges with tapping on the Copper High Impact Paint. I totally love the new rusty metal look... In fact noe it looks like a metal mini table...
And here are some close-ups of the techinque...
I hope you like it. It's nice to give some personality to a homologue piece...

"Follow me" egg
Hello! Just some days left til Easter and I have some more eggs to offer :-) My latest egg has 7Gypsies on the menu. But let's go gradually to see how it's made.
I covered the egg with an old curtain that I couldn't use anymore. I cut it into stripes, covered the egg and painted it with texture paste.
I also added a lovely tag from Canvas Corp. I covered it with some Gloss varnish that gives to tha tag some dimension and some more force in time as well.
I added 7Gypsies Vintage Pin that I intentionally twisted a bit and a mini key, also from 7Gypies, invites the thoughts to enter in the Fairytale and of course you'll have to follow the bunny ;-)
The flowers are adorned (or bothered) with some metal hardware from Canvas Corp.
I have some more time till Easter.... some more eggs are waiting...

I made the central heart using the Sizzix Bigz Die - Heart, Stem & Leaves and the 7Gypsies paper postale and the Canvas Corp Grey and White Diamonds paper. The background of the heart is made with Black High Impact Tattered Angels paint. I had a little bunny that was just brown and nothing special so I decided to cover it with Champagne High Impact Pint from Tattered Angels and also with some Glimmer Glaze using the same shadow. The bunny immidiatlly showed another face, more appropriete for my egg. The 7Gypsies Chemistry Naked Apothecary Label gives to the bunny the perfect spot. The heart is, obviously, completed with some well show stitches.
