Kian is 7!!!

Hello bloggers!
I hope you had a wonderful time this summer that is prepare to leave us and that offered here a good taste of its propreties and so I'm already looking ahead to the new upcoming season.
I've been busy doing everything and nothing at the same time this summer. Planing a lot of new things and the holidays made out of me a bad blogger :-) I hope soon will be better now, that I'm reinvigorated and freshly inpired.

The inevitable leg of every summer is the Kian's birthday, Yeasterday was the big day and I had knights and princess all arround the castle :-) Everything started with gifts for a not so much little boy in a cardboard handmade castle....

The garden was ful of medieval tents and a cardboard castle for the kids to play arround. ..

A misterious wizard left a message for all the kids and it was talking about somekind of treasure...

They had to put the heads together to unravel the essence of the messages....

They found a treasure chest. I've made some cardboard shields, swords and crowns and prepared some Sizzix die cuts for them because  it's  nice every child can make in the way he or she wants.
 I used the

Sizzix Bigz Die - Elegant Flourishes

Sizzix Bigz Die - Hardware Findings

Sizzix Bigz Die - Heart Wings

Sizzix Bigz Die - Edge & Scroll

They had so much fun  completeing they own piece of art. The creation was even more fun because I usde the sticker paper to cut out the shapes...

Knight were making  their own shields...

...and pricesses were adorning the crowns...
We had also to fight the terrible pinata dragon....

 ...and the cake dragon....

We had a very happy 7 year old knight !

Working on some changes right now I would like to spend your time checking on some new Sizzix  August relases right here - 3 collections out this month - 3 are exclusive for Europe!

"She loves me she loves me not" LO

What is more lovely than a child doing the "she loves me she loves me not" game with a daisy. I cought my son some time ago and I immidiatlly captured the moment.
It's useless to say that daisies were required on this LO and even they are hard to immagine in a Gothic Fairytale style but I think they turned out pretty well and they carry a sort of a "in every child's journey" element. I wanted a giant version of this photo and in RL is like 3d.
I'm still playing  with the background in BW and keeping the focus on the new style.

Here are some close ups:

Beside my LO I wanted to share some new releases that are happening this moth with Sizzix.

Moroccan

Spice up your craft projects with Sizzix!

Add a dash of exoticism into all your creative projects with Moroccan, the latest die collection from Sizzix. Designed by Dena designs, this collection is perfect for those who love the little details. With funky flourishes and Moroccan style flowers you can create your own opulent designs for cards, mini albums, scrapbooks and much more.
Why not use the Bigz dies in this collection to infuse some African styling into home décor items, clothing and even jewellery. Plus with embellishments sets that perfectly complement the die designs also available, creating your own little craft oasis couldn’t be easier!

Antique Faire

What’s old is new again

Lazy Sunday afternoons trawling through the junk shops, searching for hidden treasures such as vintage sewing machine and an old fashioned scales set – this is the image Antique Faire evokes. The Textured Impressions Embossing Folders, Bigz with bonus folders and Sizzlits are perfect for adding that olde world charm to all of your creative projects.

You can always check on the

for great inspiration and new ideas!!!!

I already have something in my mind and it will certain be somehow corelated with the Sizzix dies so pay attention, I'll be back :-)

Find your balance layout

Here we go with another layout. This time I was inspired by a tiny mashroom I saw with my son and I had this idea to make a one with some roots in the Gothic Fairytale style and I love the glowing  black on the bottom of the stem. I've put together the mashroom hat with some stitches and I found this pic of my son that is following the mashroom pattern. I made a connection between the roots with a thread and I love how it continues and holds the photo. I also stitched the petals of the flowers. The pinches of acid green were just necessary.

Some hardware elements are just helping to build the right atmosphere....

I hope you like it. See you next time.

Love U layout

Hello! I can admit that the layouts about those you love is a neverending story. It just keeps you go on and make a new one and each time you feel it was worth doing it. This time the LO is not just for my Kian but he has some company :-)
Sometimes is just enough to take some pieces of carboard and cover them with different patterns to get the perfect bed for a new memory. The background is a combination of a structure paste, stamping, distressing and some Glimmer mist traces (Dragonfly and Dark Denim). I made the single pieces looking scruffy and distressed and let some black vines coming from behind and all is standing together with stitches. I also added some Prima elements to make the entire project look more soft despite the dark atmosphere.

A detailed look.......

So, as you see, the Fairytale continues..... Let's explore more... Again. My hands are already itchy :-)
