Easter eggs for kids

Hello! Here I am with two different ideas for easter eggs for kids. I decided to make some special ones for my nephews in Australia and for my son. The first one is for my niece Tanaia:

For her I decided to use the Canvas Corp burlap. The idea is pretty simple. Covering the egg with stripes of two different colors of burlap. I glittered the die from Sizzix: the Sizzix Bigz Die - Elegant Flourishes.
I aslo used the Sizzix Tattered Floral dies to cover the top and the bottom of the eggs. Some blings and the egg is prepared.

Fir the three boys the story is deifferent. I was thinking I could send them a misterious egg from the past and from exotic places. The collection Serengeti from 7 Gypsies was the right decision. Also in this case I cut some stripes but from pattern paper this time. I put them in the water and in this way they were perfectly malleable. From another Serengeti paper I cut out the letters for the names with the Sizzix Alphabet die and I've put some extra shiny glos on them to make them more 3d. The embellishments are simply cutted out from Serengeti pattern paper. I think the boys will love them  and maybe even prefer them to shabby eggs ;-)
Here are the three eggs:

Enjoy expecting easter to come....

Easter fairytale egg

Hello! Here is my new project - a gothic fairytale easter egg. I used many Canvas Corp products that offer versatility and a great base for further ideas. I covered an egg with Canvas Corp canvas.

I just teared it into stripes and glued them on. Several touches of distressing make the defference: the Canvas Corp string and wire for stitches, the distressing with Color Box Mix'd Media inxs (Leather and Jasmin), some crackle paint on the egg and on the  Sizzix Movers & Shapers Magnetic Die Set 2PK - Mini Butterflies Set as well. The bottom of the egg is the burlap flower from CC and I also put a little jasmin ink on it. In my oppinion it looks like moss right from the woods. I love it. For the embellisments I decided to make some space for (broken) buttons (already necessary part of my projects), / Gypsies pins, Canvas Corp clips. I finished with colored normal pins, wire and the black butterfly with Tattered Angels  Glimmer Glaze Nori and High Imapct mixed media pait Antique Gold.

I love it on my mini pedestal and I hope it has the look of a magic egg right out of a fairytale.

Some more eggs are waiting to come.....

Of course with the enormous selection of mists, paints and also Mistable Papers it's easy to make something special. I did my flower in my Gothic Fairytale style. I used the  Tattered angels mistable papers. I just cut out some circle like shapes, simply with the scissors. I misted them with Walnut Gold,  and Post Card Glimmer mists. They are dark enough to leave a distressed print but light enough to still stamp on them. I stamped some od them with 7Gypsies stamp and cut out some petals alsoout of the marvelous  Canvas Corp papers: Tan & Ivory Damask and French Script to make the petals different.

I put the petasl together and misted the centre of the flower with Woven Burlap. On the stem I misted the ribon with Chalkboard Ivory and  Baseboard Leaf. A few touches of crackle paint all over the flower and some finishing touches like the wire which is intentionally covered unevenly with black Tattered angels High Impact Black Paint. Some metal hardware from  Canvas Corp, some bottons and some pinsmake the flower more gothic.

U shine like a star

Hello everyone! I'm here sharing my latest  LO. For this one I decided to use as the central element the  Sizzix Bigz Die - Stacked Stars.  I embossed the stars with Sizzix Textured Impressions Embossing Folders 2PK - Basket Weave & Honeycomb Set to give them  little dimension. The paper is from  Canvas Corp  - Black & White Ribbon Stripe - I absolutley love these papers because they perfectly complete my style! I covered it with some bandages and texture paste and some crackle paint.

Of course I love my black branches for my Gothic Fairytale style, so I decided to use this time the High impact  Tattered angels Paint to make them. I actually use a toothpick to make them and it was simple and quick and they look a bit 3D as well! Let me mention that I used the High impact paints also for the word shine. I simply wrote the letters on an acetate, combining two colors: Platinum and Antique Gold.

I hope you like it! See ya soon!

You melt my heart LO

Hello everyone! I'm back with a new LO....Still following my Gothic Fairytale style :-) maybe just a little bit softer..... because I just can't resist this look :-)
For the base I used many many Sizzix dies:
- Chandelier
- Botanical elements
- Hardware findings
- Stacked stars
- Tattered florals
- Heart wings
- Garden greens

 Here is the LO:

In fact you can combine the dies you want. I just decided to cut them and to displey them in the centre randomly. Than I covered everything with the white primer. Than I made a sort of ombre effect friom inside of the centre out. I used High Impact Tattered Angels pait which coveres completly the white. I also made the edges of the dies grey using the distress tool and inks.
I used the  Canvas Corp Tan &Ivory Ribbon stripe paper. It's a very nice paper that welcomes many techniques. The mini key and the "k" intial is from  7Gypsies. I used the Tattered Angels High impact paints also to  get a messy look in the top corner: a mixture of Copper, Black and Leaf.

Some close ups:

Se you next time! Thanks for stopping!
