Canvas heart for Valentine's Day

Hello! Happy Valentine's Day! Enjoy every way of love that make s your life richer!
For this special day I'm offering some love themed inspiration with my Canvas heart. And today not only the base is canvas but also the heart is from this material!

  

 

 Hearts are not perfect or better said - they are not intact. Many thing an event can hurt the heart and can produce scars and sporadic bleeding but somehow it stays together and becomes stronger. An experienced heart can offer a strong support and it can always keep it's shape. Just have some thread and a needle at hand and some adequate medicine to help it heal. Enjoy your hearts!

I decided to use a canvas heart from Canvas Corp. I filled it with some cotton and started to give to it some color with different inks. I also teared it a bit and "repair" the damage with some evident stitches.

At 7 Gypsies you can find these lovely apothecary bottles and I love how I can use them in a symbolic way for representing the medicine. I just dropped inside some High Impact Paint from Tattered Angels let dry overnight... I just love this detail!

 The bleeding.... Glimmer mist of course. Tattered Angels invented this product so much time ago but is still so modern and absolutly necessary...

 Smal details? A lovely bird that sings our favorite song, some gears that continue the tic-tac.... All from 7Gypsies.

I had some huge pins but they had a pearl hat. Nothing easier - I just painted the hats with some Tattered Angels Black High Impact Paint.

Love potion Valentines Message bottle 2013 No.2

Hello everyone!  Here I am back with a new bottle for the upcoming Valentines day. I used a normal soda bottle and covered  it with some paper. To make the look of it more soft and romantic I added some lace but themost important piece is surely the pierced heart that was made using the Sizzix dies! I fact the heart is a piece of grungeboard made with the Sizzix Bigz Die - Heart, Stem & Leaves and covered with a shower of glitter. The arrow is a combination of two pieces of the same die: the Sizzix Movers & Shapers Magnetic Die - Mini Flourish and adding a small piece of gungeboard for the pointed part of the arrow. This die cut transforms a normal arrow to a shabby chic masterpiece. The bottle is completed with a velvet pink bow with a butterfly that was made with the Sizzix Movers & Shapers Magnetic Die Set 2PK - Mini Butterflies Set.

Love potion Valentines Message bottle 2013 No.1

I'm back with a new Valentine's Message Bottle. I already started to make them last year (here is the last year version) and I decided I'll make a tradition out of them. So here is the first Valentines Message Bottle. A new version for this year, new dresses for these glass protagonists. This  year I covered them with some acrilyc paint and played with distressing them. The central decor is made with Sizzix dies: Sizzix Framelits Die Set 3PK - Frame, Damask for the background laced label frame, totally covered with glitter that besides giving a great shiny effect it also provides a good resistancy of the swirls. I just love how this frame adorns the bottle - a perfect romantic element. There is also the heart in the centre, using the Sizzix Bigz Die - Heart, Stem & Leaves
- a double layered die cut: grungeboard + patterned paper, glued together .

This is the first bottle of the 2013. Be prepared for the next ones :-)

Love was made for me and you

Hello everyone! How are you? Are you still searching for an idea for the valentine's day? Well, I feel still very inspired and this time I got a big help from the Sizzix  die cuts. They are so great and their design really helps to make beatiful projects.
Here is my paper heart. I'm planing to do many of them and in different but similar shades to decorate my house in the begining of February.
For making this heart I used the  Sizzix Movers & Shapers Magnetic Die Set 2PK - Mini Tattered Florals Set. It is a very versatile die cut and the ways you can use this one are practicaly endless. I decided to use them in a gradient style using some helper - the Glimmer Mists: Tokyo, Walnut Gold and the Ivory Chalckboard mist. Every flower har a prescious pearl inside. Than I also needed the Sizzix Sizzlits Decorative Strip Alphabet Die for the "LOVE" word. I have painted the word in the darker shades of the flowers to get the attention on this part of the project. This area is also completed with the Sizzix Embosslits XL Die to make the center of the ribbon more rich. I transformed this frame die cut into a glittery crown.

Now you can make a heart that will be made just for you and your loved one!

Steampunk heart

 At Tattered laboratory we are continuing with making some Valentine’s projects and most of them are made out of lace and fabric to get ito the romantic mood. But we know that some of you need also a different project in case you don’t like the sweetmess of lace. I decided to create a Steampunk heart. Also in RL this project seem really made out of steal thanks to the Glimmer Glazes!!!! This paints are amazing and perfectly support the trick.

 

And now let me reveal the trick: The base is just a cardboard heart like in my Ruffled heart project . To cover the look of the cardboard I smoothed the heart with adding on some  modeling clay.

After that I rolled a big piece of modeling clay, covered the heart and cut away the excess.

Than I dried the heart and shaped it into a steal covered object. The most amazing part was painting it. I used these Glazes: Nori, Champagne, Icicle, Pewter andJava. In some surfaces I combined two colors in other I used just one Glimmer glaze.

So, here you have a different idea and I hope it will have sweet consequences anyway

Ruffled Valentine's heart

At Tattered Angels we don’t relax after the new year but we are already prepared and looking forward because in a blik of an eye the valentine’s day will be here. We decided to start inspiring you with some fabric and some lace. My version is this Ruffled Valentines heart. It almost looks like a cake and it is easy to make.

Love is in the air

A quick post for another valentine's idea. Do you have an empty spray can? If yes than you can put it together with some wire, paper and some nice embellishments and you can have a sweet valentines gift or home decor. You can write a romantic message on the back of the can and surprise someone you love. Do you love the idea?

For making the word love more shiny I used the Tattered angels Glimmer glam Lipstick Pink - 3 coats needed!!!

A pocket full of ....... love

Yes, big things can be in a small pocket and mine is full of love. Five love canvas like tags are witing squeezed in this pocket. There is a lot of space at the back of every tag to write important and sweet love notes and prescious photos. What is better than this to spoil the one you love?
The base for the tags are just paper bags so some of them are also pockets that have to be filled with something intresting and a lot of love scented embellishments and s also the "Love" element that I made using some poly clay.

Valentines message in a bottle

Hello! I'm back with my second valentines project. It's always nice to leave a note on valentines day to the ones you love and why don't replace a card with one or more messages in a bottle. You can leave them in different corners of your house for an unexpected surprise.
Grab an empty glass bottle. Any sort of bottle will do. The funny part of course is the decoration: I decided to dress them in bottles with love potion. And here's a tip: before decorating them apply clear crackle paint on the bottles for an extra vintage and prescious look. At last just put the rolled love letters inside and you are ready for Valentines day :-)

Heart balloon magnet

Hello everyone! How are you? I hope you are doing ok.
Now that the holidays are over we can look forward to the next ones :-) So, here is a little project already waiting for Valentines day: a heart balloon magnet. I recycled a plastic candy container. I have a box full of different containers in my scrapbook room that are waiting for a new and fresh dress. So, I painted the little heart to get a crackle but shiny effect. I simulated the floting ribbon with a twisted wire and added some delicate embellishments and a tag with a stamped message. This is the first idea to surprise who you love - a lovely magnet!
