Follow me mixed media canvas

Hello evryone! November is here and this time it will be canvas themed. I found my inpiration in this art white fields and they are so versatile that you can go on with creating for hours. Well her is my firs november canvas: Follow me!

I used a Canvas Corp canvas where you can find lots of sizes of them and burlap as well. For the heart I used a base of cardboard covered with Canvas Corp papers. I have to say they are very good for distressing and I found surprising especially the Blue and Ivory Mini Dot Reverse paper beacause when you blend the ink on it the white doots go brown but the blue color resists and creates a very cool effect. The other two papers are from the same brand: the Tan and Ivory Ribbon Stripe and the Black and White Diamonds. The embellishments are from 7Gypsies: the mini key, the vintage pin, the optical lens and the industrial gears.

The background is created with a generous base of white acrylic.  The branches are made as always with Tattered Angels High Impact paint thet stays glossy and resistant. Everything is completed with accents of Glimmer mist and straining of Glimmer Glazeboth from Tattered Angels. The corners of the canvas are stamped with the 7Gypsies stamp Abundance (maybe a coincidence ;-)) from the Christmas Greeting set.

 

This time I wanred to complete the branches with the Canvas Corp wire from the Walldeorative hardware box. I added the Black Imapct paint also here to make them more creepy and less wirely...I love how they continue to expand the canvas project out of it's space...

Halloween surprise ball

Hello! You probably already know that I have a passion for my surprise balls. They were almost christmasy themed but this yearI thought that it would be nice to make something for halloween and there it is: my very first Halloween Surprise Ball:

 At Cnavas Corp have some very intresting papers for Halloween. In my case I used the Haun it paper and used various elements: the Hocus Pocus on the outside of the ball, The witchy tag in the inside, the little cat beside the bottles and the little spider and the batts that I used for the bottles etiquetes.
Inside I covered one part of the ball with Black Canvas Corp paper and the other one with the Black and Ivory Zig Zag reverse paper. I used it also to create the stars on the otside with the Sizzix Bigz Die - Stacked Stars.

 I used an old belt for covering the edge of the ball and paint it with the Tattered Angels High Imapct Black Paint. I also used the paint to make the black drops inside. They stay glossy even after drying and the effect is great.

 The embellishments are from 7Gypsies: The tiny apothecary bottles are painted with the Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze (Java). The stars are completed with the 7Gypsies Dome Studs and the key and the Vintage pin are from the same brand. The greeny center inside the ball is covered with different sizes of green burlap from Canvas Corp.On the top of tha ball I created a spider web using a thin wire.

I would say this project requires a bit more effort but I love it. Just try to make one and have a witchy halloween!

Halloween witchy mashroom

Hello everyone. Here is my latest idea I wanted to share with you. I was thinking about making something new this year and here is my Halloween witchy mashrom.

 The idea is so easy. For the stalk I used a soda bottle that I painted in white and distressed. For the hat I used the Canvas Corp Halloween papers. They have some brand new papers for halloween and they are really beatiful. I used The Halloween Stripe on White for the hat and I used a part of the Haunt it for the circle on the side of the hat.

 The mashroom hat is not flat so in between the two paper circle I placed a rounded piece of cardboard and some newspaper to get the puffy look. On the top I glued the cone filled with the smashed newspaper in the way that it's more resistant.

I love the scales on the mushrooms and I used  the Canvas Corp tacks and the 7gypsies dome studs for making them. They really make the difference, without them there is just another thing.

So, this is a very simple idea that you can make and I hope there will be a lot of witchy mashrooms growing out there!!!!

Echos from everywhere travel journal

Hello everyone! I hope you have a wonderful fall. I'm back with a new post and this time it's a mini album or more precisely a travel journal. I made it in the 7Gypsies style wich offers tons of stuff for this type of projects. Of course I had to find an appropriate name for my travel journal because I wanted it to have personality and I decided for.... Echos from everywhere.

The paper for the covers is the Tattered Angels mistable papers and the the branches and the dark glow is made with High Impact Paints from the same brand. . The embellisments are from 7 Gypsies: the cover corner, the rings, the clip and many more. I also used the szamp Postale. Necessary are the stitches and a touch of the thread.

Inside I used the paper postale and maritime. They already have a strong traveling scent so the work is easy and fun. A bit of distressing and you are almost done!A few elements like the paper bags and the postcards are from Canvas Corp.

Canvas pumpkin

There is no halloween for me if I don't make a new pumpkin for my collection. Every year I feel inspired and this make realizing new things easy and fun.
This year I decided to use canvas for my pumpkin. I used the canvas Corp canvas where you can find tons of materials for making these autumn queens. In fact I also used some Canvas Corp colored burlap to enrich the stem and covered the canvas stem with some Canvas Corp rope.

 

 

The procedure is so simple.Just some smashed paper wrapped into canvas and you have your own brand new but old pumpkin. The rest is just fun - decorating it as you prefer! I also used the Sizzix Bigz Die - Tattered Leaves using the Canvas Corp Halloween themed paper and the 7Gypsies numbers for the 31! Now we just have to wait halloween and maybe produce something more.....

Here is my idea  -  use it as you wish!

Bright Heart LO

Hello! I'm back with my latest LO.

I'm always faithful to my Gothic Fairytale style and to my everyday inspiration. Of course I had to put something bright in the branch heart as the childrens heart is always bright.

 

I used the canvas Corp paperson the bottom – this one is the Tan and Ivory Ribbon Stripe. The white background paper is from Tattered Angels Pure Mistable Papers -  Seersucker. I love their textures and they can be misted but their versatility goes way beyond misting!

The heart is made by using the Tattered Angels High Impact Paint. I use a thin brush, sometimes even a toothpick to make the branches. The pigments in these paints are very strong and the paint really gives dimension to the painted.

The metal embellishment are from 7Gypsies and they continue the gothic fairytale style - they match the thread stitches, the broken buttons and everything else.

 

That was the latest...... a new one is already in my mind... maybe in a couple of days.

Baloon canvas

I'm already back with a new canvas project. I used another 12x12 canvas from Canvas Corp and created a baloon in the sky:

I used the 7Gypsies paper Postale to make the baloon. I distressed it and sew it together. I made a mini man and put it inside the baloon basket to explore the universe. For the clouds I used the Sizzix elegant Flourish Die. I covered it with crackle paint and after dry with some glossy varnish. The metal embellisments are from 7Gypsies as well.
