Invisible witch's hat

You probably already know that I love to invent new projects and this is sure something different to be combined with the Tattered Angels mists and paints. It’s a witch’s hat made out of Canvas Corp wire. I played with the wire by making loops and twirls and There I made an almost invisibile witch’s hat like my son said  when he first saw it.
I wanted the mist to stay on the wire permanently so I first sprayed it with the clear spray and before it was dried I started to mist the hat. I couldn’t resist to apply with the bruh many Glimmer Glams  and Stained Glass paints that make the hat shinny. In fact in RL it’s a sparkle wire but here is just not visible enough but I can tell you that it is worth trying it! I also misted the little stars and other details.

Tattered Angels products used:
Glimmer mists (Abominable Snowman, Cupid)
Glimmer Glam ( Grandma’s house, Pixie Dust, Twinkle Toes)
Stained Glass (Purple, Green, Dark Turquoise)
7 Gypsies products used: Postale Paper, Amber Bottles, Mini Keys
CC products used: Decorative Wall Hardware

Have a nice day....See you soon!

Pale pumpkin

Days are getting colder and this is the reason we have to get warmer and more kind. It’s time to surprise friends and family with some little present to make the darker autumn days more enjoyable and at Tattered Angels blog we plan a month of gift ideas and autumn inspired projects . My first project was a present for my mom. She likes red and I thought to make a pumpkin in nude colors with a special accent on the shadowing to give to the red embelishments the right importance. I started to with making a ball of smashed paper and than I covered it with …. diapers. Yes, they are perfect to make a soft surface and the shaping of the pumpkin it’s easy. Than I covered everything with the bandage and primer and this step makes the pumpkin hard and you can’t really tell what is it made for. I sprayed the pumpkin with the Chalkboard Sandy Beach  and then procedeed with the lighter colors (Chalk Chalkboard and Ivory Baseboard) to enhance the rounded pparts of the pumpkin. I also used the Glimmer glaze (Champagne, Icicle) to give to the pearls an anique look.

I'm coming back tomorrow with a second project.... an invisible witch's hat :-) and you are all invited!

Shabby Pumpkin

As promised today I'm back with a new Halloween project fresh out of the oven. This is the third version of a halloween pumpkin and this one is like you can see in Shabby chic style. This one is made out of smashed paper shaped into a ball, covered with diapers that are soft and admit to shape  the object into a pumpkin. Everything is than covered with some bandage and white acrylic paint. It is obvious that the ornaments do almost evrything but I love this contrast between the ruined base and the rich toping. The appropriate pedestal completes the perfect Mrs. Pumpkin.

I hope you like it and feel inspired..... See you next time!

Stary Halloween

Here I’m back with some more fall-Halloween inspirated projects on Tattered Angels blog. This time I used the Canvas Corp Canvas stars to make two star shaped decorations for the 31st of October. In this case the final result is a combination of two shades od the same color. It’s easy to do and it gives to your projects an imperceptible result that has a lot of dimensional power : first of all you spray the surface with the color you want. Once the surface is dry you position the mask or the screen and spray over with the Ivory or White Chalkboard or Basebord. The great coverage of this two products make the base color softer and bring out the screen image in a very delicate way.

Enjoy the fall colous and I'll be back tomorrow with a new Halloween project!

Recycled curtain pumpkin

Hello everyone! Here I am with another pumpkin that I made using an old curtain. I covered it with many mists but first of all I used a primer to make the pumpkin more stable and to have a kind of a crust. I used the Canvas Corp White Waxed Cord to wrap the stalk and also the CC paper for the message inside the 7 Gypsies  Clear bottle and completed the ornaments with some ribbon, some Prima flowers and a Vintage pin from 7 Gypsies.

For this project I used:
*Glimmer mists (Abominable Snowman, Graphite, Dragonfly, Pumpkin Spice)
*Chalkboard teal High Heel
*Baseboard Ivory
* Simply Sheer Teal

Have a nice day!

Ruffled pumpkin

I decided to make a pumpkin made of blended autumn colors for this month theme at Tattered Angels: color theory. I made the ruffles and glue the on a ball that I just made out of alluminum foil. I covered it with white fabric and  than I used some Glimmer Mists ( Candy Corn, Sunflower, Postcard, Sugar Maple), Burlap Simply Sheer, Charcoal Chalkboard on a ruffled organza. The colors cover perfectly the fabric and remain perfectly bright.

For the pumpkin stalk I used just a piece of an old sage branch...
For this project I used also the Canvas Corp Chocolate jute cord and Crystal ring Dangles and WATCH FACE from 7 Gypsies.

I have something more to share with you. Today is a very special day because it is the first day of school for my little boy and here he is, waiting for new adventures.... Time really flies.....

See you soon with more autumn tastes :-)

Memory box No.2 Romantic Fable

It's Tattered Angels time! A new month, some new techniques to combine with the Tattered Angels paints!

Last week my husband came home with an old wooden box. It was probably a box used for shipping some prototypes but he said he already knew that it has a lot of potential to bacome something special if I dedicated some time to it. And so it was inevitable to make a suit for this naked lady and recycle a box.  I love the idea to make memory boxes where you put all the memorabilia, photos and journaling of a certain moment, event and this one is my second one, just ready to be filled up. I decided to call it Romantic Fable.

I covered the box with pieces of Canvas Corp Paper - Black and Ivory French Script. I painted the exposed edges and leveled the edges of the paper  with the sand paper and than I played with Texture paste and one of  the Tattered Angels Screens. When everythig was dry I started to mist with a combo of our fantastic sprays: Post Card, Afraid of the Dark and Pearl Glimmer Mist, Pink Simply Sheer, Sandy Beach Chalkboard. With some more details like the Gypsies Mini keys Antique Brass and the Display trim Vintage pin (Antique Brass) the box is ready to become a nice shelter for prescious memories.....
