"Follow me" egg

Hello! Just some days left til Easter and I have some more eggs to offer :-) My latest egg has 7Gypsies on the menu. But let's go gradually to see how it's made.
I covered the egg with an old curtain that I couldn't use anymore. I cut it into stripes, covered the egg  and painted it with texture paste.

I made the central heart using the Sizzix Bigz Die - Heart, Stem & Leaves and the 7Gypsies paper postale and the Canvas Corp Grey and White Diamonds paper. The background of the heart is made with Black High Impact Tattered Angels paint. I had a little bunny that was just brown and nothing special so I decided to cover it with Champagne High Impact Pint from Tattered Angels and also with some Glimmer Glaze using the same shadow. The bunny immidiatlly showed another face, more appropriete for my egg. The 7Gypsies Chemistry Naked Apothecary Label gives to the bunny the perfect spot. The heart is, obviously, completed with some well show  stitches.

I also added a lovely tag from Canvas Corp. I covered it with some Gloss varnish that gives to tha tag some dimension and some more force in time as well.

I added 7Gypsies Vintage Pin that I intentionally twisted a bit and a mini key, also from 7Gypies, invites the thoughts to enter in the Fairytale and of course you'll have to follow the bunny ;-)

The flowers are adorned (or bothered) with some metal hardware from Canvas Corp.

I have some more time till Easter.... some more eggs are waiting...

Easter eggs for kids

Hello! Here I am with two different ideas for easter eggs for kids. I decided to make some special ones for my nephews in Australia and for my son. The first one is for my niece Tanaia:

For her I decided to use the Canvas Corp burlap. The idea is pretty simple. Covering the egg with stripes of two different colors of burlap. I glittered the die from Sizzix: the Sizzix Bigz Die - Elegant Flourishes.
I aslo used the Sizzix Tattered Floral dies to cover the top and the bottom of the eggs. Some blings and the egg is prepared.

Fir the three boys the story is deifferent. I was thinking I could send them a misterious egg from the past and from exotic places. The collection Serengeti from 7 Gypsies was the right decision. Also in this case I cut some stripes but from pattern paper this time. I put them in the water and in this way they were perfectly malleable. From another Serengeti paper I cut out the letters for the names with the Sizzix Alphabet die and I've put some extra shiny glos on them to make them more 3d. The embellishments are simply cutted out from Serengeti pattern paper. I think the boys will love them  and maybe even prefer them to shabby eggs ;-)
Here are the three eggs:

Enjoy expecting easter to come....

Foil Easter Eggs

Here I am with a new Easter idea for you. It's not only for creating new eggs but also a simple way to dress some odl eggs in a new way. I decided to use foil inspired by the surprise eggs that are wrapped in foil. There are some tips to follow to get this vintage look and apply the foil but in the end it turned out as I wished.
I used the Night Sky Glimmer Glam and the Dragonfly Glimmer mist for giving a nice color to the two eggs. From the Sizzix pantry I made some die cuts using the Sizzix Bigz Die - Hardware Findings  and the Sizzix Movers & Shapers Magnetic Die Set 2PK - Mini Bunny & Bow Set and applied some pieces to each of the eggs. I love these die cuts - a million ways of uses!!!!

Each egg is wrapped in a cord net ...

The foil eggs are also raughly stamped ...

My eggs are already decorating my kitchen :-) See you soon for the next idea!

Bunny Boy

Here I am, back with a new LO that is also easter scented. I had this picture of my boy with one of our bunnies and it was just perfect for this time of the year and offfered me a lot of inspiration. So, after quite a while, here is a LO.
I decided to use the Sizzix Framelits Die Set 3PK - Frame, Damask for the background but instead to use it a s a frame I've cut it and use it as a background line and the rounded parts were perfect to protect the clock's. I decided to added clocks to this LO just to have a tiny Alice in Wonderland ingredient because my son and me love that movie. I also used the Sizzix Framelits Die Set 6PK w/Stamps - Banners for the title support. I love these banners bacause the package is a combination of die cuts and stamps. I inked those stamps and before pressing them down I wiped off the ink from the centre to get a vintage used look.

I cut out some bunny ears and glue them on the letter "B".

Now we have just to wait for Easter to come :-)

Butterfly Egg

Hello everyone! I'm back after quite a while. The reason is that we are fighting at home with various viruses and I really hope that it's over with all the chikenpox, flus, ecc. Maybe the upcoming spring is what we  need!!! I'm caling her also with this my new project - a Butterfly Egg.
I covered the egg with a lot of butterflies and using the Sizzix Movers & Shapers Magnetic Die Set 2PK - Mini Butterflies Set. It's easy to get a lot of them in just some moments because the Sizzix machine and the dies allows to cut 3 pieces at once. I used about 80 butterflies to cover tha whole egg.

I stamped the flowers with the stamps you'll find in the Sizzix Framelits Die Set 7PK w/Stamps - Flowers, Lovely.  These stamps are perfect to make any poaper flower more intresting.

The top of the egg is the perfect place for the biggest butterfly the is made with the  Sizzix Sizzlits Die - Butterfly   distressed and covered with cracle paint.

There are also some intresting thing happening at SIZZIX!!!!

Mother's Day is rapidly approaching, so why not impress your mum to a handmade card! You can get 6 different designs available for you to choose from using the gorgeous new collection from Paula Pascual - Fresh moments! What's even better is they are available as free project sheet downloads! Don't forget to visit this place:

This is it for this time, I still don't feel 100% after the flu but I hope it will not stop my creativity. Enjoy!

Happy Spring

Here's an idea how to recycle a cardboard box. Cut a desired shape out of the cardboard and make several of them using the first one as a pattern. Glue them together and decorate. It's easy, you do some recycling and the result is a nice and warm home decor.

So, don't throw away the cardboard boxes!!!! Go and invent new friends!

Surprise inside

Here is a cardboard egg. I paited it with a white primer and than misted with two glimmer mists (Gold and Suede). For painting the frame I used Golden Goddes Glimmer Glam. This is quick and simple but it has a great and prescious effect on a candle stand.

Have a nice day!

Ruffled Glimmer eggs

Lovely sunny days, hands in soil, warm breeze, children echos outside....how is possible not to make something....... Springy :-)
Here are my Ruffled Glimmer eggs. They're done with crepe paper stripes soaked in Glimmer mist. Once dried I made a lot of crepe paper flowers and assembled them in an egg shape. The final touch is a light misting with Gold Glimmer mist. I love them so much that I made a lot of these ruflled eggs.

Have a nice day and enjoy ruffling :-)

100% Spring

Here si a spring project. If you have any kind of tiny suitcase her e you have an idea: a nice spring or Easter home decor or even for a nice gift. Alll you have to do is to play a little on the outside and on the inside of the suitcase and decide what to put in it. In mine there is a silver crackled egg that is waiting to release Spring. I found an old belt that is just perfect for this project.

Have a nice time.... waiting for Spring!

Hatched Easter wishes

I've already told you how easy is for me to make some projects expecting any kind of holiday because the ideas just pop into my mind and having already the symbols to include into the projects seems just so simple to me. ....and eggsshells are so nice and versatile to use and decorate, don't you think?

In this project I used real eggshels that I've painted in pastel colors. The bottom shells are filled with moulding compound. I've put a wire inside before getting hard in the way it could support the upper half of the eggshell. Pretty simple with a great effect.... Some flowers, a bow, some hay and ..... Voila!!! ....the easter wishes are hatched!!

I thing some more easter projects are already waiting in my mind to be realised :-)

Have a great day and follow the inpiration!
